Training Programs
Our team has recruited in parallel company growth plans and managed small to large terminal work forces in operations, maintenance, engineering, safety, customer relations and labs. We have recruited and trained many of today’s successful operators and managers in the industry. The program is unique, hands on, thorough and usually trains upwards and downwards. We can tailor a program to train any or all of your personnel.

Development of Regulatory Plans and Standard Operating Procedures
Our team understands the minute details of terminal operations and regulatory requirements and has many years of experience of firsthand experience in operating in compliance. We use this experience to develop practical, cost effective and useful regulatory plans and operating procedures. Typically, our team mentors and uses a hands on field approach to implementation and reinforcement of training. These plans and procedures include:

  • U.S. Coast Guard Dock Operations Manual
  • Integrated Contingency Plans – U.S. Coast Guard and EPA

Auditing Programs
Summit Terminaling Services structures audits in cooperation with terminal management in a manner that is non-threatening and informative. Our goal is to identify potential problems that can be costly; to develop a system for ongoing compliance; and to educate terminal personnel particularly on the "why" behind their efforts. Summit has tackled challenging inventory issues that were eating away at profits and commercial relations.

Typical audit categories include:

  • Inventory Operations
  • HSE
  • Security
  • Responsible Care
  • Gap Analysis
  • Corrective Action Planning
  • Root Cause Analysis
